IPOGEA Società Cooperativa di Produzione e Lavoro, was born in Matera in 1993 together with the initiative to insert the Sassi of Matera into the UNESCO World Heritage List.
It operated in a monumental complex located in the Sassi of Matera, granted by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and the Ministry of Finance, to carry out the activities of enhancing the cultural heritage and promoting the international role of the Sassi, following the recognition of UNESCO.
